There's nothing scarier than wondering about your pet's health, but thankfully this silly sausage reached his 10 year mark!

Sometimes we forget how fragile things are. One moment, everything is fine in the world. There are no issues, no stress, and nothing to worry about. And in a split second, it all could 180 on you. We've all been through moments like that in regards to something, so it's not something to feel isolated about. When we have a pet, we can forget that we're actually 100% responsible for them. If they make a noise, a cough, a sneeze that seems out of the ordinary, it's really up to us to inspect them and determine if they need help or not. They can't speak to us in words, so it's always important to be hyper aware of them.

Here we have the story of how owners noticed their doggo get into business he shouldn't have. Chocolate is a well known forbidden substance for dogs, and in the story here, the little dachshund, Lenny, gets into some chocolate on the eve of his 10th birthday. They say he's had chocolate on accident before, and everything was fine. So after some watching him after he ate it, they relaxed and figured it would be the same as it was before. They got home from dinner and he was fine, dancing around and happy. Then a few hours later he seemed like something was wrong. After they decided it was vet worthy, the vets saved his life. A huge scare for the owners, but they were able to completely save and take home their little Lenny that night. He was absolutely back to normal when they got home, and he was even begging them for a special dinner. They got to celebrate his birthday in style, and gave him a little party to appreciate his birth and his life. So enjoy this wholesome and heartwarming story about the fragility of life.

I can't imagine how scary it must have been for these owners to have to take their dog to the vet. It's extra anxiety inducing that it's his birthday. It just feels like everything is turning to some horrible point, just for everything to bounce back up again. Thank goodness the doggo is okay, and he looks absolutely sharp and like he's got secrets. He's a mischievous little one, but that's probably why his owners love him.
